Entering Sommières du Clain from the direction of Poitiers cross over the bridge and take the next right turn up a little lane called Rue de Lavaud. If you pass the boulangerie you have gone too far.

Drive for approximately 100 metres and turn left into the lane marked ‘Cimetière’. You will see a gate between two large fir trees… you have found Les Ruches French Cooking Holidays!

You can fly by Ryan Air from Stansted Airport to Poitiers and from the 17th June 2008 Birmingham Airport to Poitiers (car hire available) or take the Eurostar from London or Ashford to Lille and take the SNCF line to Poitiers Train Station. You can also fly from various airports in Britain to La Rochelle and Limoges which are a couple of hours drive away. Another option is to take a ferry or the Eurotunnel and enjoy the scenic drive through France.
